Poly_Neon | The Ready-made Bass, 2010

"The Ready-made Bass" by Dywane "Poly_Neon" Thomas Jr.

Thomas changed his pseudonym from "Polyneon" to "MonoNeon"
on October 26, 2011.

"The Ready-made Bass" is apparently inspired by Marcel Duchamp's readymade art and the idea of Dada. The characteristics of the readymade bass is the ordinary sock covering the headstock and the name "Polyneon" taped to the body. Duct tape and other ordinary items (bandages, cloth, and etc) are placed on his instruments. This parody of the electric bass was created in 2010.

From the information I have read about Thomas, the "Polyneon" concept was something that he created during his stages of introspection and when he abandoned the mundane idea of becoming/being a great musician.
